De schrijfster Paula Brackston schrijft over heksen en onder de naam P.J. Brackston schrijft ze crime-fantasy voor volwassenen. Dat laatste staat erbij omdat deze crime-fantasyboeken gaan over Hans en Grietje dus je zou snel denken dat het een kinderboek is. Maar nee want de inmiddels 35 jarige Gretel (Grietje) woont bij haar broer Hans en werkt als privé detective in de 18e eeuw. Zo te zien is er nog maar één boek uit of het moet nog uitkomen.
Maar we hebben het nu over Paula Brackston en heksen. Haar nieuwe boek is net uit en heeft de titel “The Midnight Witch”. En wat een prachtige cover heeft dit boek gekregen. De recensies zijn goed maar dat geldt voor vrijwel al haar “heksenboeken”. Alhoewel de fans meer gecharmeerd zijn van haar boeken The Witch’s Daughter en The Winter Witch.
Het is overigens verheugend om te zien dat de eboeken zoveel goedkoper zijn dan de paperback bij Bol.com.
